But the problems of responsibility in the sector prompted Véronique Boute to become an entrepreneur. She wanted to contribute to change (on her own scale) and launched Headoniste, a brand of caps made in France.

"I've stayed in my core business, I think it's easier when you start out as an entrepreneur", explains Véronique Boute, founder ofHeadoniste. Having held various positions in the ready-to-wear industry, as manager of the Marie-Mélodie brand, head of the "women's private label" collection at Galeries Lafayette and head of collections and purchasing at Burton of London, the neo-entrepreneur then went into teaching.
The desire to create goes hand in hand with the desire to change the fashion industry. Véronique Boute wants to bring morecommitment to the industry, respecting the planet, materials and people. Focusing on caps and hats, she founded Headoniste in 2020. Distributed online and in partner boutiques, the products are 100% made in France.
One year after the creation of the company, Headoniste is also focusing on customisation by favouring sourced materials. The leather skins, in particular, come from luxury houses that bequeath their unused materials. To date, Headoniste has sold nearly 400 caps. The next step? Exporting to new territories such as the United States, England, Germany, but also to Asia, notably Japan.
